Goodreads

They’re an elite group of teenage girls with magical powers who have sworn to protect our planet against dark creatures . . . as long as they can get out of class! Known as the Zodiac Starforce, these high-school girls aren’t just combating math tests. They’re also battling monsters–not your typical afterschool activity! But when an evil force from another dimension infects team leader Emma, she must work with her team of magically powered friends to save herself–and the world–from the evil Diana and her mean-girl minions!

My Thoughts:

♡ I really loved how this one began. It wasn’t following how the girls got their powers, it started after that. Two years after, so we jump right into the story.

♡ The artwork was so pretty, everything from the outfits and the character design,
I loved it all.

♡ I might be saying the word love in this review a lot. There was a lot about the graphic novel I adored.

♡ I have been wanting to read this graphic novel for months, I might have squealed when I finally saw that my B&N had it in stock. Why wouldn’t you want to read this book? The cover first of all, is gorgeous. The book itself it full of diverse characters and a superhero group whose powers are based off of the zodiac signs? That just screams awesome to me. I don’t know about you.

♡ Throughout the first comic, I was confused and the story seemed to be going everywhere at once but by the next comic I was hooked. It might have been confusing but it did well explaining where we were and when the story actually began.

♡ I was disappointed that this volume only contained 4 comics, I want more. I’m hoping vol. 2 hits shelves soon!

Do I Recommend? If you’re a fan of graphic novels with an all female cast and diversity then of course I recommend! I think this is a graphic novel for everyone, it’s fun and lighthearted. An easy adventure story to read in between books.
