31387205.jpg After eyeing this graphic novel since it was released I finally decided to pick it up through my library! After loving some of other of O’Malley’s graphic novels I thought why not? I did love the art style, it was colorful and just really pleasing to look at, if you know what I mean?

After getting halfway through I realized how confused I actually was. This story is all over the place, but for some reason I still found it to be a fun and interesting read. But… I still don’t know the actual plot, other than we’re following a fashion blogger with allergies who finds herself in some drama with fellow bloggers. I don’t really know what the point was. Why was it called Snotgirl, anyway? Sure, she has allergies but that barely plays into the actual story so far, except mentioning some mysteries regarding her allergy medication. I don’t know. I just want to know more, that’s all.

I’m hoping we find out more in the next volumes but for now I really think this first volume was lacking when it came to world building and introducing the actual plot. If you’re looking for a fun read with drama, some mystery, and nice to look at art than I think this might be the graphic novel for you!
